Overview

Admins can edit rubrics directly in Pando β€” including adding, updating, or removing competencies and their descriptions. This article walks through how to access and edit a rubric.

Note: Only Admins can edit rubrics. Changes to a competency's name or description apply across all rubrics that use that competency. See Rubric competency naming rules for details.

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to the Rubric Builder

Go to app.pando.com/rubric. You'll see a list of all rubrics configured in your account.

Step 2: Select a Rubric

Click the rubric you want to edit.

Step 3: Enter Edit Mode

Click Edit Rubric in the top-right corner of the rubric view.

Step 4: Make Your Changes

From edit mode, you can: - Add a new competency (click Add Competency) - Edit an existing competency's name or description (click the competency, then edit inline) - Remove a competency from the rubric (click the competency, then Remove) - Reorder competencies by dragging

Step 5: Save

Click Save when you're done. Changes take effect immediately.

Things to Know Before Editing

  • Competency names are global. If you change a competency name or description, it updates on every rubric that uses it β€” not just this one. If you need a different description for a specific rubric, create a new competency with a distinct name.

  • Active assessments are not retroactively updated. Employees in an active cycle will see the competency as it was when their assessment started.

  • There's no draft/preview mode. Edits go live immediately on save.
