Is peer feedback anonymous in Pando?

Overview

Peer feedback in Pando is not anonymous. Team members have the option of sending private feedback, discussed below, but in each of these scenarios the name of the feedback author is visible to the people who are able to see the feedback.

What "private" means

Pando has two feedback visibility settings:

Peer-to-peer: The feedback is visible only to the recipient. Their manager cannot see it. The recipient knows exactly who sent it.

Peer-to-manager: The feedback goes directly to the recipient's manager β€” the subject cannot read it. However, the manager knows who wrote it.

When feedback is "private," it means the subject cannot see it. It does not mean the author is hidden from everyone.

Important: No feedback in Pando is fully anonymous. Pando is built on accountability β€” feedback is always tied to a specific person.

Upward assessments (360 feedback)

When employees rate their manager through an upward assessment:

  • Their feedback is not visible to the manager being assessed by default (your admin controls this setting)

  • Their skip-level manager and admins can see who wrote each rating

  • A notification in the assessment workflow tells employees whether their feedback will or will not be visible to their manager, so they always know before submitting
