Manager Assessments

As a manager, one of the most impactful things you'll do in Pando is complete assessments of your team. In these assessments, you have the opportunity to provide structured, comprehensive feedback on each team member's performance. Please take into account their achievements, peer feedback, and your own observations to rate each of the competencies you and your company have determined have the highest impact in their current role and level.

To get started, click on the Assessments Tab from the left navigation.

From this tab you can get a bird's eye view of what's happening with Assessments: yours AND those of your team:

Want to prompt an employee to start or submit their self assessment? Click Full Assessment + the person, then Start.

If the person you've selected hasn't started their assessment, you'll see this prompt:

If the person you've selected hasn't completed their assessment (but started it) you'll see this prompt:

Once an employee on your team has completed their self assessment, you can complete your portion of the assessment. To do so, go to the In Progress tab, click on the person and then click on Continue [person's name] Assessment (you'll notice: Jamal in this case has completed their assessment - per the check box below!)

Once you click on Continue [person's name] Assessment, you'll see:

Click Start to begin the process.

If this is the first time your team is doing assessments in Pando, your focus will be on submitting an unbiased rating per competency. Fill in as much of the text as you can for each competency rating, as this context will be shared with the team member you're assessing.

You can review the Rubric when rating along each competency. You can also view recent Feedback or past Assessments by tabbing along on the right

Add an Optional Comment to provide more context for your ratings.

Hit Next to continue along all the competency groups. Before clicking Align (to see how you and your employee have aligned), you'll have the option to add retrospective feedback: Start Doing, Stop Doing, and Continue Doing. Add suggestions here that will help your team member make a greater positive impact! You'll have a chance to discuss these live in your calibration conversation.

Click on Click to Align to see how you and your employee aligned in this assessment:

Then, hit Next to review your ratings, comments, and your employee's ratings and comments before submitting the assessment back to your employee.

Make final changes, then click on Next to add an optional note for your employee before hitting submit to share the final assessment.

Up next: the calibration experience!
