How do I approve or deny an uplevel request?

How to respond to requests from managers on your team to either approve or decline changes in level

Congrats! Your team is progressing and one of your managers is ready to increase the level of their direct report. When this happens, they'll have the ability to request a level increase for that team member. Once they do, a notification will go to all company Admins. Here's how to respond to that notification to either approve or deny the request

Head to the Admin > Employee page

  1. If there are any employee uplevel requests to review, you’ll see it here in the dashboard. Click on “review”

  2. In the uplevel request summary page, read the reason for the uplevel request.

  3. Select the approve or decline button.

Heads up! Once you click “Approve”, notifications will be sent to the employee, the requesting manager and their manager. Make sure the manager has been able to share the good news with their report before you do so.

If you click “Decline”, notifications will only be sent to the requesting manager and their manager.
